Every day at Donkeys of the Heart, seven extraordinary donkeys walk into our arena to change lives.

They don’t just carry riders; they carry hope.

From helping children find their voice, a safe space, our 7 donkeys are the heartbeat of our equine-assisted services.

But our four-legged healers cannot do this vital work alone. They rely completely on us—and you—to keep them strong, healthy, and fed.

It takes $412.25 a month to provide a single donkey with high-quality hay, professional hoof care, supplements, medications, and emergency veterinary fund.

For our entire herd of seven, our annual care goal is $32,109.

Because health insurance rarely covers equine services, we rely entirely on the generosity of neighbors like you to keep our program accessible to all the children, no matter the social status.

$24/month (Micro-Donor): Covers clean straw.
$150/month (Co-Sponsor): Teams you up with three other donors to completely cover one donkey’s health and feeding.
$412.25/month (Full Herd Patron): Completely adopts one specific donkey, covering 100% of their nutrition and medical care for the month.
